In one way or another, dogs have always held a special place in my heart.

I started walking dogs in the Spring of 2017 to make a little extra money while I was looking for a job in my field and I ended up loving it so much that I never stopped! Each dog I’ve had the joy of knowing has aided me in learning more about what it takes to help a dog live their best life and I remain committed to doing so not just with my own dog, but with my clients’ dogs as well.

I have Banner, a smart and driven golden retriever puppy. The classes we’ve taken at The Good Dog have opened my eyes to how much a working dog like Banner is truly capable of and the joy we can both get out of working together.

Knowing the in’s and out’s of The Good Dog’s training classes gives me the confidence to not only understand your dog’s specific needs but also maintain the training that they’re learning in classes on our walks together.

Policies

Dogs should have absolutely no aggression history. If you aren’t sure what this means, please contact us.

If a dog becomes a danger to the walker and/or other people or animals, we reserve the right to end a walk early and cancel future bookings.

No retractable leashes.

If you cancel or reschedule prior to the walk/drop-in, there is a $5.00 cancellation fee. Please note that once the walk has begun, the fee is non-refundable, non-transferable, and there are no exceptions. Keep in mind these policies when you sign up for walking and please do not request an exception to the stated policies.

If your dog contracts an illness/parasite, we must cancel their walks until they are no longer contagious.

Proof of Vaccine Requirements: For dogs 16 weeks and older a record of their vaccinations must be signed by your veterinarian and include vaccine for: rabies, distemper/parvovirus, and bordetella. If your veterinarian chooses not to give your pup one or more of these vaccines at the time of walking, we must have a signed letter from them stating that it is contraindicated. Dogs must be on flea & tick preventative and heartworm preventative.
