PREREQUISITES: MUST HAVE COMPLETED & PASSED INTERMEDIATE OBEDIENCE WITH US PRIOR TO ENROLLING IN THIS CLASS **This class requires an e-collar.** We will be using the brand E Collar Technologies - either the micro or mini educator, single or double dog systems. Please contact us before class so we can help you select the correct collar and contact points for your dog. Not all e-collars are created equal, and using the proper training collar is essential for success, we will NOT be working with just any e-collar. Our Intro to E-Collar Class teaches you how to properly introduce and utilize the e-collar as a communication tool—not just a punishment tool. You'll learn how to create reliable off-leash obedience, improve your dog's responsiveness around distractions, and strengthen the bond between you and your dog through clear, consistent communication. E-collars truly make a dog's world bigger by allowing us to give them more freedom! This class covers: • Proper e-collar fit and conditioning • Understanding stimulation levels and timing • Building reliability around distractions • Off-leash recall foundations • Real-world applications for everyday life This class includes 5 weeks of in-person training, meeting once per week for 1 hour per lesson. *This class also includes lifetime access to The Good Dog Yorktown Class Community, created specifically for our clients. Cancellation Policy
Dogs should have absolutely no aggression history. If you aren’t sure what this means, please contact us. If you cancel or reschedule more than 24 hours prior to the start of class, there is a $5.00 cancellation fee. Please note if you cancel that less than 24 hours before class has begun, the class fee is non-refundable, non-transferable, and there are no make-up classes. If you do not come to your first class with shot records of bordetella, distemper and rabies up to date, you will not be refunded. Keep in mind these policies when you sign up for a class and please do not request an exception to the stated policies.
